A leading financial institution in London is seeking a Portfolio Management Associate or VP specializing in Funds Finance. This role involves managing a portfolio of transactions, conducting financial analysis, and collaborating with various stakeholders. ING operate a family, friendly hybrid working pattern. This role is available on a full time basis but may also be suitable for someone with solid Fund Finance Portfolio Management experience interested in working a 4 - 4.5 day week.
Department Overview:
The Sectors Portfolio Management (PM) team aims to be the ‘center of excellence’ for the in-life management of ING’s lending exposures to multiple sectors. It is a front office team that covers all activities post the initial funding to the final repayment of a lending transaction.
The Sectors PM team monitors the performance of all sector-driven lending transactions in the UK and respond to requests from the client including facility extensions, amendments and waivers (plus other ad hoc requests).
The position involves contact with clients, other banks, legal advisors and frequent cooperation with internal departments such as Sector Origination, Transaction Management, Credit Risk Management, Legal and Deal Execution.
The Sectors PM team is looking to hire a portfolio management associate or VP specializing in Funds Finance but you will also be exposed to and expected to work with other sectors in which ING London specializes.

Main Duties and Responsibilities of Role:
You will manage a portfolio of Funds Finance transactions across capital call and NAV finance working closely with senior colleagues and other stakeholders.
In line with the Bank’s policies and objectives, you will provide file analysis and monitoring (including periodic covenant management, identification and resolution of early warning signals and risk rating reviews) and will be responsible for delivering high quality reviews of the Borrowers in your portfolio. This will include, but is not limited to, market updates on the client and sector it operates, performance updates received from the client, ESG analysis and review of financial information/models.
For credit modifications (amendments/waivers) or refinancings within your portfolio, you will work alongside senior colleagues to deliver these in line with internal credit risk timeframes and client deadlines. This may also involve reviewing legal documentation for accuracy, internal compliance and commercial risk mitigation, alongside ING’s in-house legal teams.
Other responsibilities will include portfolio initiatives such as external ratings, or other portfolio risk management tools.
