Overview

The Manchester Deansgate Hotel is seeking a dynamic Front Office Supervisor to join the IHG Hotels and Resorts family. The property is located in Manchester, within Beetham Tower, featuring 279 rooms and amenities including Cloud 23 sky bar, 2 Rosette Podium Restaurant, an indoor pool, and a fitness centre. The hotel hosts 14 meeting rooms and over 1,800 square feet of event space, with plans to transition to the InterContinental brand by 2027.

Front Office Supervisor (Full-Time) – you will carry out the following duties:

  • Leading the team and managing daily operations – oversee check-in and check-out, ensuring a warm and authentic Manchester welcome. Experience in a hotel front office role with Opera or a similar PMS is essential.
  • Covering duty manager shifts – be fully conversant with all hotel emergency procedures and take responsibility to ensure smooth and safe hotel operations.
  • Coaching and supporting the team – guide, train and motivate the front office team to deliver exceptional service. Previous supervisory or team leader experience is ideal.
  • Handling guest requests and challenges – own escalated issues, use problem-solving skills to turn challenges into positive experiences and memorable stays.
  • Engaging with guests – create authentic, personal connections, share local knowledge, and adapt your approach to different guest needs. Strong communication and people skills are key.
  • Championing IHG One Rewards – recognise and celebrate loyal members, encourage sign-ups, and inspire the team to do the same.
