Overview

Nepali Freelance Remote Translator. We help non-English speakers access essential services, such as medical care, by providing interpreters of over 512 languages and dialects. Dals is seeking Nepali speakers to join our team of freelance translators working remotely.

If you’re proficient in both English and Nepali and have translation experience, we want to connect with you. This position offers flexibility and the opportunity to work with clients across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Translate digital documents for our clients, ensuring accuracy and adherence to deadlines.
• Perform proofreading as needed to guarantee document readiness for client submission.
• Communicate with the booking team for required support or to report issues.
• Log in to the provided freelance platform to work on assignment minutes and receive payment by minutes worked.

Qualifications and Requirements

• Right to work in the country of residence.
• Fluent in English and Nepali (C1 level or higher in the second language).
• Willingness to undergo a trial assessment.
• Basic DBS check or equivalent security clearance for EU residents.
• At least 1 year of translation experience translating a minimum of 100,000 words or completing 100 assignments.
• Relevant qualifications in Translation, Languages, Linguistics, or related fields (e.g., BA/MA in Translation, CIOL Level 7 Diploma in Translation, DPI Level 4 & 5 in Translation, BA/MA in Languages or related disciplines).
• Flexibility in work hours; you can choose when you work and how long you work for.
• As a freelance position, you are responsible for your own tax payments.
• Approx. 100 hours of interpreting experience (professional or voluntary) is preferred.
• Fluency in English and Nepali and a telephone language assessment will be conducted.
• EU residency is required for the position as described.
