Job summary

An Engineering company in Whittington is seeking an FPI Technician for a permanent role. You will perform maintenance and process checks, handle FPI testing on metal components, and operate testing equipment. The position offers a PM shift with a salary of up to £35,000 plus a 20% shift allowance. Previous experience in penetrative testing and a relevant certification are required.

Qualifications

• Previous experience of PT Level 2, certified to EN4179 or NAS410.
• Experience in FPI of metal components.
• Ideal experience within the Aerospace or Automotive sectors.

Skills

Overview

My client, an Engineering company based in Worcester, is looking to recruit an FPI Technician on a permanent basis.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and process checks
• Perform pre and post cleaning of components
• Process parts through the FPI line
• Interpret and evaluate results
• Report on the results of FPI tests
• Operate Air Flow testing equipment

Qualifications and Experience

• Previous experience of PT Level 2, certified to EN4179 or NAS410
• Experience of penetrative testing and inspection
• Experience in FPI of metal components
• Ability to read and comprehend specifications and techniques
• Ideal experience within the Aerospace or Automotive sectors
• Ideally have experience of Air-Flow testing equipment

Shift and Salary

It’s for a PM shift: Mon–Thu (Apply online only) and Friday (Apply online only) with 20% shift allowance on top of the basic salary, up to £35,000.
