A local governing authority in London is seeking a Food Safety Regulatory Support Officer. You will provide crucial support in delivering statutory food safety regulations and work flexibly within a vibrant team. We’re seeking regulatory support officers to join our food safety team. Operating in a fast paced, flexible, and dynamic team, you will be responsible for providing flexible support, working on a range of activities critical to the successful delivery of Camden’s statutory regulatory requirements, with specific emphasis on food safety and public protection of citizens.
In addition, you will provide resilience for the wider ambitions of the Public Protection service to respond flexibly to deliver a broad range of environmental health and public health functions as required.
The role is based in an enabled and empowered team‑focused service where all officers are expected to work flexibly to meet evolving services demands. You will work as one team to assist in the development of a culture where knowledge, experience and responsibility for making decisions on complex issues is shared where appropriate.

To succeed, you will bring a track record of working in a fast paced, citizen‑focused environment. You’ll work collaboratively with internal and external partners, demonstrating good outcome‑focused customer care and communicational skills to identify innovative and creative approaches to complaints and Camden objectives. You will have the ability to take an organised approach to your own workload whilst dealing with conflicting priorities.
We will also consider candidates who are in the process of completing relevant food safety officer or environmental health officer qualifications.
