Job summary

A well-established UK label manufacturer is seeking a Flexo Printer to produce high-quality labels. In this role, you will set up and operate flexographic printing presses, managing the production process and ensuring quality. Ideal candidates will have proven experience with flexographic printing, a strong technical understanding of various materials and inks, attention to detail, and the ability to work both collaboratively and independently. This position is based in Eccleston, UK, with competitive compensation up to £40k.

• Strong technical understanding of inks, substrates, plates, aniloxes, and colour control.
• Excellent attention to detail to consistently achieve high print quality and accurate registration.

You will be responsible for:

• Setting up and operating flexographic printing presses to produce labels in line with job specifications
• Preparing plates, inks, anilox rollers, and substrates prior to production
• Adjusting press settings to achieve correct colour, registration, print quality, and consistency
• Monitoring print quality throughout production and making adjustments as required
• Working collaboratively with supervisors, pre-press, and finishing teams to ensure accurate job handovers, alignment on specifications, and timely completion of production schedules

Key attributes required:

• Proven experience operating flexographic printing presses, ideally within a labels or packaging environment
• Strong technical understanding of inks, substrates, plates, aniloxes, and colour control
• Excellent attention to detail to consistently achieve high print quality and accurate registration
• Work effectively as part of a production team while also operating independently when required
• Ability to manage time efficiently to meet production targets and deadlines
