Overview

FireFit Hub, part of the Torus Foundation, is a safe, inclusive, and inspiring space where young people aged 11-19 can unlock their potential through fitness, sport, and personal development. We are committed to delivering high-quality youth services that promote health, confidence, and wellbeing. We are looking for a Youth Fitness Instructor to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of young people in our community.

Working Pattern
  • Tuesday: 4:45pm - 8:45pm (4 hrs)
  • Wednesday: 4:15pm - 8:45pm (4.5 hrs)
  • Thursday: 4:15pm - 8:45pm (4.5 hrs)
  • Friday: 4:15pm - 8:45pm (4.5 hrs)
  • Saturday: 11:30am - 6:30pm (6.5 hrs)
What you will be doing
  • Deliver a fun, varied, and safe programme of gym and fitness activities for young people.
  • Build positive relationships to motivate, inspire, and support young people to develop their health, confidence, and social skills.
  • Provide gym inductions in line with PAR-Q processes.
  • Work closely with our Gym & Fitness Team Leader and Youth Workers to support wider sports, outdoor, and youth engagement activities (including Duke of Edinburgh).
  • Encourage participation, good behaviour, and teamwork while maintaining safeguarding and health & safety standards.
  • Be an advocate for young people, ensuring their voices help shape the services we deliver.
  • A relevant Level 3 Fitness / Sports Qualification (or equivalent).
  • Experience delivering gym/fitness activities for young people aged 11-19.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding and a commitment to creating a safe, positive environment.
  • The ability to motivate, engage, and support young people from all backgrounds.
  • Great communication skills and a lively, approachable personality.
Interview Process
  • Candidates will undergo in-person interviews, consisting of competency-based questions. Interviews will take place week commencing 13th October.
