Financial Analyst - Sales Compensation - Peterborough, UK

As a Financial Analyst in our Peterborough, UK office, you will play a key role supporting the FP&A Senior Manager in helping to create a methodical approach for optimizing operational business processes to enhance efficiency but also perform daily tasks according to pre-established guidelines to ensure the invoicing and billing reflects the.

Responsibilities
  • Calculating sales compensation commissions and hedging adjustments.
  • Analyzing accounts and specialized reports, investigating discrepancies, validating calculations against compensation plan rules and providing decision-making insights.
  • Carrying out monthly accruals, reconciliations.
  • Participating in process improvement projects and ensuring effective accounting operations and compliance with internal controls, policies, and regulations.
  • Prepare reports and presentations - regularly prepare and generate reporting and presentations for ad hoc internal reviews.
  • Dashboard/ MI maintenance and management - wrangle and retrieve large data sets for consolidation.
  • Process development and approach - assist the Senior Manager to collaborate with other key stakeholders and develop standardized team processes to develop and define "how we work".
Qualifications
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • 4-5 years of experience in accounting / FP&A.
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel (including modeling, advanced formulas, pivot tables, macros etc.).
  • Experience in working on sales compensation calculations and hedging adjustments would be an advantage.
  • Good communication and consultation skills, both written and verbal in English.
  • Familiarity with the accounting standards and a degree in Business Management/ Finance / Accounting or a related.
  • Change Management experience or experience of successfully being part of a changing environment.
  • An advantage, if you have hands‑on proficiency in one or more of the following business intelligence, visualization, and advanced analytics tools (e.g. CaptivateIQ, Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, Snowflake, or other similar systems).
  • Experience in the EU/Global payments industry would be an advantage.
  • Ability to work independently, rigorous, organized and disciplined.
  • Excels in team environment with the ability to collaborate and liaise with geographically distributed teams.
  • Self‑starter with 'can‑do' attitude, a service mindset, and proactive in responding to requests.
  • Professional, detail-oriented, and organized, with outstanding follow‑up abilities.
  • Enthusiastic, with a strong desire to succeed.
