Why This Role Matters

You will be responsible for assisting in the Christie Manson & Woods Ltd FCRC team to provide day-to-day accounting operations support for the business, along with the timely and accurate closing of the monthly results for London and regional entities.

You will be a strong team player, highly motivated and will provide a high level of customer service. You will be technically strong and perceptive, using your analytical skills to detect anomalies and flag anything suspicious to management on an ongoing basis.

How You'll Make an Impact
  • Managing a portfolio of companies, including daily accountancy tasks, month end reconciliations and review / clearing balances.
  • Acting as the main point of contact for the clients within the portfolio, responding to queries and ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
  • Supporting the month end close process by posting journals, resolving queries from the business and Finance Business Partners, ensuring deadlines are met.
  • Reviewing and uploading Regional Office submissions from local accountants into JDE.
  • Preparing statutory accounts to review stage or review those prepared by outsourced accountants.
  • Assisting in the preparation of the Additional Analysis Packs at quarter end.
  • Communication with auditors (where applicable) for the portfolio of companies at year end.
  • Preparing and reconciling intercompany current and loan accounts, ensuring balances are agreed between sites, invoices raised, and all relevant costs and revaluations are accurately recorded.
  • Acting as the lead contact for Artist Resale Rights, ensuring accurate and timely handling of related matters.
  • Working with the VAT team on matters relating to import VAT.
  • Participating in ad-hoc projects as required.
  • Ensuring compliance with IFRS and UK GAAP across all assigned entities.
What you’ll bring to the team
  • Strong accounting knowledge is essential. Applicants must be fully qualified (CIMA, ACCA, or ACA) with 2–3 years of post-qualification experience
  • Experience of managing a portfolio of companies
  • Experience in audit and preparation of statutory financial statements is required.
  • Attention to detail is essential
  • Willingness to understand what other teams do and learn how processes affect other teams/departments
  • Comfortable interacting with stakeholders in multiple overseas jurisdictions
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • High level of integrity and strong compliance attitude
  • Knowledge of Outlook, Word, PowerPoint & Proficient in excel – JDE, Hyperion and Integrity knowledge is desirable
