Overview

Finance Officer | Wakefield | Full Time | Monday to Friday, 08:00 – 16:30 | £28,000 – £30,000 per annum

Responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports
  • Support with year-end accounts, audits, reconciliations, accruals, and adjustments
  • Monitor cash flow, manage bank accounts, and oversee funding limits
  • Support debt management, payment forecasting, and financial compliance
  • Prepare employee contracts and coordinate onboarding
  • Maintain staff records, holidays, and training compliance
  • Support payroll processes and employee welfare
  • Oversee fleet data, insurance, and accident/claim management
  • Maintain company accreditations and compliance records
  • Act as Health & Safety Officer for the office
  • Provide ad-hoc reporting and support to operations and recruitment
Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a finance or accounts role
  • AAT qualified (or equivalent)
  • Strong background in management accounts, reconciliations, and reporting
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple responsibilities
  • Confident communicator with strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
