A global leader in power solutions is seeking a Field Service Engineer to perform maintenance and repairs on MTU power generation systems across the UK. This role requires strong technical skills and communication abilities, and includes fieldwork as well as office support. The successful applicant will have qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering and must be able to use diagnostic tools effectively. A clean driving license is required, and extensive travel may be necessary.
An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Rolls-Royce Power Systems as a Field Service Engineer.
Reporting to the Service Supervisor for the PowerGen Business Unit and responsible for the day to day planned preventative maintenance services, unplanned reactive maintenance services and scheduled repairs including replacement, upgrades or additional works on MTU power generation products and balance of plant associated with the complete power generation systems.
Products include Dynamic Uninterruptible Power Systems, Diesel and Gas Generators, Battery Storage and Microgrid Systems. The role also involves supporting the installation, commissioning and testing of new MTU power generation systems. There is also a requirement to provide 365/24/7 emergency on call coverage as part of the Field Service Engineers on call rota.

The Field Service Engineer job is home based however the engineer may be required to work in the offices / workshops in East Grinstead when not in the field. The job is physically demanding and the job requires a disciplined individual who is capable of delivering / communicating the high standards expected of a blue chip company.
