Job description

We are seeking an experienced Fibre Engineer to join our dynamic workforce. The ideal engineer will have a proven track record in fibre network builds, ensuring high-quality and efficient installation of fibre optic networks.

The work will be based across the Middlesbrough and Northeast Region.

What We Expect of You:

In this role, you are expected to carry out the safe and efficient installation of subducts, blown fibre tubing, and fibre optic cables into the underground network, whether hand-pulled or blown. You are responsible for test rodding, roping, and splicing to ensure live and reliable connections, always maintaining the highest quality standards. A key part of your duties includes setting up sites correctly and safely in line with Chapter 8 and NRSWA requirements, as well as interpreting network and straight-line diagrams to complete tasks accurately. You are also expected to follow work schedules to meet deadlines, while troubleshooting and resolving any issues that arose during installations.
