Job description
Overview

Wake Night Female Support Worker

Barnet, North London

Part time - 20 hours per week.

Shifts - 9:30pm - 7:30am.

Whether you're experienced in care or just starting out, Dimensions will support you with full training, guidance, and the opportunity to gain formal qualifications such as the Care Certificate.

About the role

This role is based in a registered care home in Barnet, where you'll support seven individuals, three ladies and four gentlemen aged from their 50s to their 90s. Each person has their own private room, and support is delivered by multiple team members, including overnight staff, due to the complexity of the individuals\' health needs. All support is provided on a 2:1 basis.

While your shift will take place overnight, you'll still play a crucial role in each person's wellbeing. Some people require close monitoring, mobility assistance (including the use of hoists and wheelchairs), and help with personal care throughout the night. For others, your presence offers reassurance and a sense of security.

Though this is a quieter time in the home, attention to detail and responsiveness are vital. Accurate record-keeping, compassionate support, and a calm, patient attitude are key qualities for success in this role.

Some people you support use words to communicate, while others use alternative methods so being observant, gentle, and adaptable in your approach is essential.
