Family Assistant/House-Property Manager

Location: North London

Salary: £70,000 per annum

Vacancy Type: Permanent, flexible hours dependent on daily duties/schedule

The family, based in Highgate, is seeking a Family Assistant/House-Property Manager. This role requires flexibility and a proactive approach.

Responsibilities
  • House Responsibilities
  • Management of refurbishment and maintenance projects. Book, schedule, and liaise with external service providers and contractors.
  • Carry out ad-hoc estate tasks.
  • Coordinate scheduled deep cleans when the family is away.
  • Arrange regular property inspections.
  • Obtain quotes, commission works and monitor completion.
  • Implement temporary measures when required.
  • Tender and supervise contractors on site, ensuring quality of work and accuracy of billing.
  • Assistant Responsibilities
  • Maintain and coordinate the family calendar, ensuring all staff are kept informed.
  • Ensure household standards are maintained at all times.
  • Manage household supplies through stock control and purchasing.
  • Record all maintenance requests, contractor invoices, and works completed.
  • Sort post, manage returns, and handle procurement.
  • Organise bookings for restaurants, theatre, cinema, travel, and other appointments.
  • Assist with recruiting and training new household staff.
  • Keep the online household schedule fully up to date.
  • Other Duties
  • Occasionally carry out school drop-offs and pick-ups when needed.
  • Provide transport for various activities when needed.
