This role includes:

• Working packing machines
• Packing products in line with business and customer specifications
• Picking product ready for Filleters
• Stacking pallets as per guidelines
• Stock control in the chillers
• Wrapping pallets ready for shipment
• Reducing waste through quality checking and reducing packing errors
• Following food hygiene and health and safety policies
• Assisting the Factory Management as required

Skills and experience

You’re an enthusiastic and adaptable team player, who prides yourself on maintaining high standards of organisation, accuracy and customer service. You have well developed written and verbal English language communication skills and excellent time management. You have a strong drive to succeed and a willingness to learn, and you know that putting care into your work is vital to build trust and deliver excellence to our customers.

As a Factory Operative you will be playing a key role in supporting our Fish Filleters on a day to day basis prepare orders for our customers in line with their requirements. You will be working in a fast paced environment with other team members and sometimes on your own. We offer a wide range of development opportunities within Direct Seafoods London, where training is provided to improve your skills and knowledge, allowing the opportunity to earn more money along the way.

This role is site based and involves working in a chilled environment for prolonged periods.

This is a night shift position, 45 hrs. per week, 5 nights - Monday night to Friday night.

Hourly rate is £12.51 per hour, on top of the basic salary, there is also 15% night shift allowance paid if the attendance is 100%. the advertised salary includes 15% night attendance bonus
