Job summary

A local education service provider in the United Kingdom is seeking a Facilities Technician on a fixed-term contract to maintain and secure school buildings. The ideal candidate will have a range of maintenance skills, including plumbing and carpentry, to ensure the safety and cleanliness of the school environment. About this job

Cowbridge School are seeking to appoint an outstanding and enthusiastic person to take up the post of Facilities Technician.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the security and maintenance of the school buildings and school site, undertake basic maintenance and duties as detailed in the job description.

The successful candidate will be highly motivated with a positive and proactive approach to taking care of our school.

You will support the effective operation of the school on a daily basis, undertaking all tasks necessary to ensure that the school environment is maintained in a safe, clean and secure condition.

You will need to have a proven range of site maintenance skills including general repairs.

Other skills such as plumbing, DIY, including carpentry would be advantageous.

In addition, there are responsibilities with regard to Health and Safety, school lettings and site security.

Previous experience of working in a school environment is desirable, but not essential
