Job description

Fulcrum Engineering & Technical are acting as a Employment Business on behalf of our Clients.

We are recruiting personnel at all levels and covering similar welding fabrication roles depending on applicant skill sets & experience. Fabricator Welders & Mechanical Fitter Welders work from engineering drawings & welding angles, boxes, tubes to high-spec finish.

Welders (MIG) mainly work with sheet metal or mild steel, angles, boxes, tubes using MIG. Some mechanical fitting duties on machinery/plant hydraulic systems such as conveyors are also required. Semi-skilled applicants may apply if they can cover most of the work based on their skill set.

Work is primarily in the Fab Shop with occasional site work as part of a team installing machinery/plant. This may be for local sites or UK-wide, weekdays and weekends. Travel time, hotel & meals are covered by the company plus overtime pay.

Qualifications & Skills

• Able to fabricate & weld with MIG mainly, or with some MMA and some TIG.
• Ideally holds a C & G or NVQ in Welding Fabrication or Sheet Metalwork.
• Experience with tube bending machine, press brake & other workshop machinery & tools.

Hours

• Mon‑Fri: 0700 – 1530 (plus overtime after 38 hours). More hours may be required up to 0700 – 1700.
• Sat: 0600 or 0700 to 1330 as required.

Employment

• Term: Temp 6 – 13 weeks with a good chance of permanent role.

Pay

• Temp/Contract: £18 – £22 per hour basic & £23 – £26 per hour OT via pay company basis.
• Perm PAYE: £16.00 – £17.00 per hour basic with overtime rates over 38 hours x 1.33 & Sat 1.5.
