About the Role

A specialist Engineering and Manufacturing organisation based in Horsham are looking for an Estimator to join their team. This is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in the preparation of accurate and competitive cost estimates for bespoke Plant Installation / Skid package projects for demanding and highly regulated applications.

The role involves working closely with the sales, design, and projects teams to analyse client specifications and develop cost-effective solutions that meet both technical and commercial requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed cost estimates and quotations for systems and related equipment.
• Review and interpret client enquiries, specifications, and tender documents.
• Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain and evaluate quotations.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop efficient and accurate pricing strategies.
• Maintain and update cost databases and estimation tools.
• Support handover of successful tenders to the projects / proposals team, ensuring clear communication of scope and cost assumptions.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of estimating processes and systems.

About You

You will bring proven experience in estimating or cost engineering, ideally within an industrial, environmental, or process engineering sector such as water treatment, oil & gas or chemical plant design. A background in mechanical, process, or chemical engineering, supported by a relevant qualification (degree or HNC/HND).
