A large healthcare provider in Leeds is seeking an Estates Maintenance Assistant. The role involves supporting maintenance operations to ensure safe and functional facilities. Candidates must have maintenance experience and be able to work collaboratively with other trades. Competitive salary of £24,938 to £26,598 and comprehensive benefits offered.
We are looking for someone with maintenance experience who is excited to build upon their knowledge, and work with technical staff to directly support the Estates team at St James's University Hospital. This role makes a genuine difference in our ability to support patient care and is integral to our services.
As part of one of the largest and busiest acute hospital trusts in the UK, you will be part of a dynamic team solving complex problems, undertaking repairs and installation work, and thriving in a collaborative environment.
As the Estates Maintenance Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation and maintenance of all facilities, plant and equipment throughout the Leeds Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust Estate. You will support colleagues, fault find, carry out repairs and installation work, and be essential in ensuring the safety, efficiency, and functionality of our facilities.
The role provides support for low level maintenance works while also supporting other departments and frontline services. It is a critical but often understated role within our team.
Salary and package
A competitive salary £24,938 to £26,598
Annual leave starting at 27 days per annum plus statutory bank holidays, rising to 33 days with service. Salary sacrifice schemes are also available.
