Job description

The ONE Group are working with a very friendly Cambridge based company to recruit for an Equipment Engineer. They require someone to provide hands-on support to ensure their equipment operates reliably and safely.

This is a hands-on position where you will be the main contact for laboratory and cleanroom equipment ensuring that this operates reliably, efficiently & safely.

On a day-to-day basis you will:

  • Respond efficiently to breakdowns
  • Schedule and carry out PPM
  • Regular equipment inspections & test
  • Maintain documentation & records
  • Continuous improvement
  • Liaise with external contractors
  • Keep essential spares well stocked and re-order when needed
  • Occasional site and building maintenance and repair

What do we need from you?:

  • Ideally a recognised electrical/mechanical qualification
  • Significant experience working in equipment engineering in a manufacturing / industrial environment
  • Strong technical knowledge of mechanical systems, pneumatics, hydraulics, and electrical controls
  • Knowledge of automation and control systems
  • PLC programming
  • Able to diagnose faults
  • Experience in the design, development, and improvement of equipment systems
  • Experience with CAD software
  • IT proficient
  • Experience working in a lab/cleanroom would be highly desirable
