Qualifications

  • Experience as a Qualified Licenced Asbestos Contract Manager or Demolition Project Manager.
  • Strong communication skills for producing quotes and Method Statements.
  • Ability to manage financial implications and improve project margins.

Responsibilities

  • Manage asbestos removal and demolition works per legislation.
  • Compile costings and program for site works.
  • Produce Risk Assessments/Method Statements.
  • Manage site works in liaison with the Client.
  • Host Weekly and Monthly Progress meetings.

Job description

Here at the Mick George Group we are currently recruiting an Environmental Contract Manager to join the team.

Location: Site Based (Manchester)

Working Hours: Monday – Friday between 8am — 5pm, Occasional Saturday work as and when required.

Pay: To be discussed at interview

Responsibilities to include:

  • Manage and ensure asbestos removal and demolition works are undertaken in compliance with relevant Legislation/Regulations, MGE Policies and Procedures and to the required health and safety standards
  • Compile accurate costings and programme for all site works
  • Produce/review suitable and sufficient Risk Assessments/Method Statements in compliance with Control of Asbestos Regulations and HSE Guidance
  • Plan all labour, plant and materials to ensure safe working practices
  • Manage all site works in liaison with Client to ensure all works proceed to programme and budget and to Client’s satisfaction
  • Complete Site Audits and Site Visit Forms to assist in achieving MGE targets.
  • Host and manage Weekly Progress meetings, Monthly Client and Monthly Internal meetings
  • Participate in wider objectives of the company
  • Any adhoc duties required by the department

Skills & Competencies Required:

  • Demonstrable successful experience of working in a similar role (Qualified Licenced Asbestos Contract Manager/ Demolition Project Manager)
  • Committed to providing first rate customer service
  • Knowledge of relevant legislation including Health and Safety
  • IT Literate — Use of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook and the use of remote meeting tools e.g. Skype
  • Effective communicator, influencer & relationship builder.
  • The written communication skills to produce quotes and suitable and sufficient Method Statements
  • Commercial awareness to manage financial implications of projects and improve margin
  • Honest & reliable
  • Ability to prioritise work and manage own diary — amidst challenging demands on time
  • Ability to balance operational needs with best practice
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Working additional hours as required, by the needs of the business.
  • The role holder will be required to cover for work colleagues in times of absence
