Summary Of Position

The Employee Relations Manager has deep expertise in employee relations to support our clinical and non-clinical teams in the Clinical Operations business unit. This role blends high-level HR strategy with hands-on case management, focusing on workplace accommodations, investigations, and performance issues. This role is a trusted advisor, driving solutions that balance employee advocacy with business needs.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

Business Unit Partnership

  • Own all employee relations matters within the Clinical Operations Business Unit
  • Provide coaching on leadership development, team dynamics, and organizational effectiveness
  • Identify trends and develop proactive solutions to mitigate risk

Employee Relations & Investigations

  • Partner with legal on complex investigations into harassment, discrimination, and policy violations
  • Ensure thorough documentation, impartiality, and timely resolution
  • Recommend corrective actions and support implementation

Workplace Accommodations

  • Manage the interactive process for ADA and other accommodation requests
  • Collaborate with legal, occupational health, and management to ensure compliance
  • Maintain accurate records and ensure timely follow-through

Performance & Case Management

  • Guide managers through performance improvement plans and disciplinary actions
  • Ensure consistency and fairness in handling performance-related cases
  • Track outcomes and provide insights to improve management practices

Policy & Compliance

  • Interpret and apply employment laws and internal policies
  • Recommend updates to policies based on case trends and legal changes
  • Ensure consistent application of HR practices across departments

Data & Insights

  • Analyze employee relations metrics and trends
  • Use data to identify systemic issues and recommend strategic improvements
  • Present actionable insights to leadership to improve engagement and retention
  • Support workforce planning and organizational change initiatives

Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • 5+ years of progressive HR experience, with a strong focus on employee relations
  • Proven ability to manage sensitive and complex employee issues
  • Deep knowledge of employment laws (ADA, FMLA, Title VII, etc.)
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and conflict resolution skill
  • Ability to quickly prioritize and pivot as business needs change
  • Experience influencing leaders of varying experience levels
  • Appetite and ability to shape the employee relations ecosystem at the company
Qualifications Expected for Position
  • HR certification (e.g., SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, PHR, SPHR)
  • Experience in a matrixed or fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with case management tools and HRIS platforms
