Job description

Our Facilities Team is growing, and as such we've the opportunity for two Skilled Facilities Technicians (Electricians) to join us here, at THORPE PARK Resort!

As one of our Skilled Facilities Technicians, you will report into a Facilities Shift Manager, and with the support of the rest of the team, work in a fast-paced and guest-facing business. Our team members are enthusiastic and motivated to deliver and improve the service we provide, whilst having a sense of fun and community that comes from working for Merlin Entertainments at Thorpe Park Resort!

As a Skilled Facilities Technician you will be responsible for the delivery and maintenance of all TPR facilities and associated assets within your area of competency; this is primarily plumbing, with elements of general building maintenance, interior and exterior. This is a hands-on role that will require all installations, repairs and maintenance, to the Resort’s assets and infrastructure, to be completed to the highest standard, ensuring compliance with current legislation and company policies. This will be achieved via the management of multidisciplinary activities, utilising both internal and external resource, ensuring that TPR delivers exceptional Guest Experiences.

We are looking for the following skills;

• Recognised electrical qualification (e.g. NVQ; City and Guilds Level 2)
• Experience in both planned preventative maintenance and reactive maintenance
• Ability to work using own initiative, displaying sound decision-making skills; whilst also being able to thrive in a team environment
• Willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions throughout the year
• Working at heights as required
• Monitor and control costs as directed by line manager

This role is full time, permanent, averaging 40 hours per week and will include weekends and bank holidays as required.
