Electrical Technician

Responsibilities

The Engineering/Facilities team maintains all THG sites, ensuring colleagues and visitors are in a clean, safe environment on site. As an Electrician Technician, you will perform day-to-day maintenance for reactive, quoted and planned tasks, compliance inspections and regulatory inspections against the building\'s electrical infrastructure and on-site assets.

• Good literacy and numeracy skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Previous electrical experience, including lighting, wiring, alarm systems and fire prevention systems.
• Knowledge of building regulations and standards, safety regulations and safety practices.
• Ability to read and follow electrical drawings.
• 18th Edition wiring regulations.
• Working knowledge of IEE regulations, City & Guilds 2360 and 2382 qualifications, and inspection and testing certificate (2391).
• Familiarity with NICEIC requirements.
• Excellent problem-solving skills.
• Ability to plan ahead and prioritize work; manage own time.
• Ability to work on own initiative with a "can do" attitude.
• High level of health & safety awareness.
• Good level of computer literacy and knowledge of MS Office packages.
• Relevant electrical qualification e.g. NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation Diploma.
