A maritime technology company in Portsmouth is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to develop and implement systems for maritime platforms. The successful candidate will ensure quality and performance, collaborating closely with the team to adhere to high standards of workmanship and safety protocols. Subsea Craft is a fast growing, privately funded, UK-based SME delivering Advanced Maritime Technology. We leverage our team’s defence experience and technology expertise with cross-industry partnerships in the field of advanced maritime engineering. Our market ready platform, VICTA, is an optionally crewed / payload carrying dual-domain platform designed to operate at speed over range, capable of rapid transition beneath the surface to operate submerged, enabling the discreet delivery of effects within contested waters. It is a unique, innovative British platform focused primarily on the defence market but with utility beyond.
As an Electrical Engineer, you will develop and implement systems that power and control our maritime platforms and directly support Teams of Craft Technicians. Your role is crucial in ensuring the quality and performance of our products and places you at the forefront of advancing world-leading maritime technology.

The role will primarily be based in the SubSea Craft office in Portsmouth, UK, with the requirement to travel to our Portland facility in Dorset during trials.
The position may involve work in a manufacturing environment and at sea during trials, which may present physical challenges and require adherence to safety protocols.
Note: Due to the nature of work undertaken at SubSea Craft, the selected candidate must be capable of meeting the security requirements of the position, which would include as a minimum Existing right to live and work in the UK, BPSS, with Security Check likely for specific projects.
