Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Reporting To: Operations Manager

Job Type: Permanent, Full Time; Monday - Friday

Malary Ltd is a privately owned business trading for 40 years operating in two specialist areas 1) Recovery of hazardous waste to produce alternative fuels for UK industry and 2) Asset protection including the maintenance, cleaning, decommissioning and installation of tanks, pumps, pipelines and flood protection systems at client premises in the UK.

Role Summary

We are looking for a highly motivated, skilled, and experienced electrician to join our growing team. Primary focus will be working alongside our current core business of fuel system’s maintaining and installing. Along with assisting with the growth of the companies’ renewables division will play a major part in your role. Installing and commissioning Solar PV / EV installations in domestic and commercial settings.

You will be required to attend site and technical briefings regarding fuel systems / renewables.

Primary Responsibilities
  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment.
  • Install solar photovoltaics systems including battery storage on domestic and commercial projects.
  • Install fuel systems related equipment; fuel pumps / gauging etc.
  • Support with site decommissioning works, with electrical isolations and removal of electrical equipment / wiring.
  • Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints- Perform electrical troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues.
  • Assist with site surveys and technical briefings on all projects require Electrical engineering support.
  • Test electrical systems for safety and efficiency.
  • Adhere to all safety regulations and guidelines.
  • Help grow the solar / electrical department with a view / target to pivotal role this division.
Qualifications & Training
  • Proficient in reading and interpreting electrical schematics and blueprints (desirable)
  • City and Guilds 2330-07 Level 3 (Electrical installations) or alternative evidence of skill set qualification (essential)
  • City and Guilds 2382-10 (18th Edition I.E.E wiring Regulations or Equivalent) (essential)
Experience
  • Experience in fuel systems and power systems; installing, maintaining and decommissioning (essential)
  • Knowledge of high voltage systems and safety procedures (desirable)
  • Proven experience as an electrician in residential or commercial settings (essential)
  • Solar PV / EV installation qualifications (desirable)
  • Experience in EV / Solar PV installations (desirable)

  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent manual dexterity and physical stamina
