Overview of the Job

In Bournemouth, Christchurch, and Poole, we are looking for committed and caring healthcare assistants to join our team. In this role, you will support patients in care homes or home care settings, supporting with daily living tasks and helping implement care plans. A current driver’s license, a compassionate disposition, and strong communication abilities are preferred.

Shifts Available

• Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays: around five hours, with breaks, from 8:00 am to 8:30 pm.
• Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Saturday: around 3.5 hours, with breaks, from 8:00 am to 8:30 pm.
• Hours may go up over time based on demand and availability.
• Candidates must be able to dedicate themselves to at least one of the aforementioned shift possibilities every week.

ESSENTIAL: Only apply if you can fulfil these shift criteria.

Duties

• Help patients with everyday tasks like eating, dressing, and taking a shower.
• Encourage and adhere to personal care programs.
• Offer emotional support and company.
• Assist with transportation and mobility requirements.
• Maintain a clean, safe care environment.
• Share the client’s progress with the medical staff.

Experience

• While not required, prior experience in a home care or assisted living facility is preferred.
• It is beneficial to be familiar with care management systems.
• Effective communication with patients and coworkers requires fluency in English.
• You must have a current driver’s license.
• Work eligibility in the UK is a must; sponsorship for a visa may be sought after three months, contingent on performance.
