The role

As a Document Controller, you’ll play a vital role in supporting our defence and engineering projects by ensuring the accurate management and control of essential documentation. You’ll be part of a collaborative team working on high-impact projects that contribute to national security and innovation in engineering.

Day-to-day, you’ll

  • Register and capture documents in the Electronic Document Management System (EDMS), including Cavendish, client, and subcontractor documentation
  • Review document formats, coding, and ensuring adherence to approval processes
  • Circulate documents for review, acceptance, and information sharing
  • Provide daily, weekly, and monthly status reports
  • Archiving, closing out, and handing over documentation at project completion

This is a full-time, permanent position based in Warrington, Cheshire or Bristol with a minimum of two days onsite per week. Hybrid working patterns are available.

Essential experience of the Document Controller
  • Experience applying document management in a complex environment
  • Recent and relevant experience in a similar role within a regulated industryAwareness of contracting methodologies (e.g. FIDIC, NEC3, JCT)
  • Advanced knowledge of document management techniques and toolsets
  • Full project lifecycle experience from bid phase through to closeout
Qualifications for the Document Controller
  • A relevant qualification in Information Management or Document Control is advantageous
  • A National Diploma in Business Administration (Level 3) or equivalent is preferred
