Deputy Home Manager

Southport / £15 per hour - 44 hours

My Client is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Deputy Home Manager to join the team in Southport in their 40 bed Residential Care Home.

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced senior carer or existing deputy manager looking to take the next step in a supportive, resident‑focused environment.

About the Role of Deputy Manager
  • 44 hours per week
  • 3 × 12‑hour shifts on the floor (8am-8pm)
  • 1 supernumerary shift per week
  • Weekend working included on a rota basis
  • On‑call duties shared across the management team
  • £15 per hour

As Deputy Home Manager, you'll play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of care, supporting the Home Manager with day‑to‑day operations, and leading by example on the floor.

Key Responsibilities for the Deputy Manager include:
  • Support the Home Manager in the effective running of the home
  • Lead and mentor care staff to deliver exceptional person‑centred care
  • Ensure compliance with CQC standards and company policies
  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, and external professionals
  • Assist with staff training, supervision, and development
  • Contribute to rota planning, audits, and care planning
  • Act as a role model during floor shifts and provide leadership during on‑call duties
About You

We're looking for someone who brings:

  • Previous experience in a senior care role (Deputy or Senior Carer level)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • A passion for delivering high‑quality care
  • The ability to work flexibly, including weekends and on‑call
  • NVQ Level 3 (or working towards Level 4/5) is desirable
