What you'll do

You’ll be joining us in Core Trading Solutions, where our teams in India are driving the post trade digital transformation journey for NatWest Markets and front to back digital journey for Treasury Markets.

You’ll support the bank to achieve customer advocacy by eliciting and understanding the internal and external technology customer needs, and analysing, refining, synthesising, translating and ensuring they are documented in a form that can be readily understood by all stakeholders.

You’ll also:

  • Translate business ideas and requirements into clear formats such as use cases, user journeys, user stories, and visual illustrations
  • Take ownership of delivery outcomes by supporting the identification and implementation of data-driven systems, solutions, and features
  • Produce detailed business and data requirements to guide future‑state design and ensure alignment with strategic objectives
  • Collaborate across teams and stakeholders to capture, validate, and document business and system requirements, ensuring consistency with key principles
  • Analyse and map end‑to‑end data flows from source to target, ensuring integrity and meaning are preserved throughout ETL processes
  • Work with APIs and data contracts to define attributes and consumption patterns, ensuring compliance with governance and data controls
  • Engage with customers and stakeholders to gather and document functional and non‑functional data needs, linking them to overall business strategy
The skills you’ll need

To succeed in this role, you’ll need strong analytical skills, and a recognised business analyst certification would be an advantage.

You’ll also need:

  • Solid understanding of Agile values, principles, and methodologies, with hands‑on experience in Agile environments
  • Strong communication skills to clearly convey complex technical concepts to peers and management
  • Proven ability in collaboration and stakeholder management across diverse teams
  • End‑to‑end knowledge of data flow from source to target, ensuring accurate data capabilities
  • Proficiency in SQL and NoSQL databases, including document‑oriented databases
  • Expertise in ETL processes, ensuring data transformation preserves meaning and integrity
  • Understanding of API contracts for data consumption and attribute definition, along with knowledge of data controls for governance and compliance
