CTPSE Intelligence Analysts provide high quality tactical and strategic analysis to inform, advise and assist decision makers / senior operational police officers in the prevention, targeting, disruption and detection of crime.

Responsibilities
  • Use analytical techniques to inform strategic and tactical planning within the National Intelligence Model (NIM) and Authorised Professional Practice (APP).
  • Provide efficient and effective service to support managerial, operational and investigative decision-making.
  • Apply structured analytical techniques (SATs) and analytical vocabulary to assess activities of individuals, groups and themes and establish threat dimensions.
  • Make recommendations to drive business activity at tactical and strategic levels.
Qualifications
  • Substantive current role-related experience as an Analyst in a police environment or partnership agency.
  • Excellent understanding of the National Intelligence Model (NIM).
  • Relevant professional qualification and completion of National Intelligence Analyst training or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, problem solving and time management skills.
  • Effective use of IT.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • British National with resided in the UK for past ten years.
  • Pass and maintain vetting level SC/DV and enhanced security checks.
Additional Information

Full working hours flexible, may require working away from home. Potential to be part of on-call cadre on voluntary basis. Security is paramount, limitations on travel to certain countries.
