Job Title: Cover Supervisor (CS)
Location: Nottingham
Salary Range: £105-£120 per day (Depending on Experience)
Start Time: September 2025
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting for enthusiastic Cover Supervisors to work in schools across Nottingham. This role offers the perfect opportunity for individuals with a passion for education to gain hands-on classroom experience, manage classes independently, and support students in their learning journey.

Whether you’re a recent graduate exploring a career in teaching, a teaching assistant seeking to progress, or someone with a strong presence and classroom management skills, we encourage you to apply.

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise students in the absence of their usual class teacher.
• Deliver pre-prepared lesson plans and ensure students remain on task.
• Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
• Support the learning and well-being of all pupils in your care.
• Provide feedback to the appropriate teaching staff regarding student performance.

Job Requirements:

• Previous experience working with children or young people in an educational setting is desirable.
• Strong communication and behaviour management skills.
• Confidence in leading a class with a calm and supportive approach.
• A genuine interest in education and a desire to make a positive impact.
• A genuine passion for working with young learners and supporting their development.
• Have an updated CV (covering the last ten years, barring any unexplained gaps) and an enhanced DBS registered to the Update Service (or be willing to apply for one).
