Cover Supervisor & Instructor – September Start

Location: Worcester and surrounding areas

Pay: £120 - £130 per day (depending on school and experience)

Are you confident leading a class and passionate about working with young people? Do you hold a UK-recognised degree and/or have experience supporting learning or delivering lessons? If so, we want to hear from you.

Academics, Worcestershire's leading education recruitment specialist, are working exclusively with secondary schools across Worcester to recruit Cover Supervisors and Instructors for the autumn/spring terms. These roles are ideal if you are considering a career in teaching, as well as experienced educators looking for flexible, rewarding work.

Cover Supervisor – the role

No two days are ever the same! You will be delivering pre-prepared lessons, managing classroom behaviour, and ensuring students are engaged in their learning in the absence of the usual subject teacher. While work is often general cover, we can also place you in subject-specific roles that suit your background or interests.

Qualifications
  • A UK-recognised degree or some experience teaching, tutoring, or working with young people in an educational setting
  • Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
  • The ability to build rapport quickly with students and staff
  • A valid Enhanced DBS (or willingness to apply for a new certificate; we can help with this process)
