Are you a Controls Engineer looking to progress into a Team Leader position, where you will have the autonomy to make key decisions within a busy manufacturer, overseeing, mentoring and developing a specialist team of Electrical/Controls Engineers? You will join a long‑standing, progressive, and driven company offering continuous internal development on SPM, whilst working hands‑on at the forefront of automation and robotics.

The role offers an exciting opportunity to design control panels, test and assemble them for a range of special‑purpose machinery. Founded nearly 50 years ago, the company designs, manufactures, supplies and installs automation and robotic machinery across sectors such as aerospace, automotive, military, and nuclear, known for its reliability and internal promotion culture. This position is ideal for a Controls Engineer seeking high responsibility and recognition as a Team Leader.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and assemble control panels.
• Work with Mitsubishi, Allen Bradley, and Siemens PLCs.
• Oversee a small team, guiding and mentoring them.
• Work Monday to Thursday 8 am‑5 pm, early finish on Fridays (37.5 hours a week).

• Previous experience as a Controls Engineer.
