Overview

Our client, a leading housebuilder, is seeking an experienced Construction Manager to manage a set of high-value residential conversion projects, including work on listed buildings. This is a key leadership role, responsible for ensuring high-quality construction, on-time delivery, and adherence to safety and compliance standards.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the full lifecycle of construction projects, from pre-start to handover.
  • Ensure projects are delivered on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Manage and coordinate site teams, subcontractors, and suppliers.
  • Maintain strong health and safety compliance across all construction activities.
  • Drive site productivity and efficiency while mitigating potential risks.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, including technical, commercial, and customer service teams.
  • Conduct regular site inspections and implement corrective actions where necessary.
  • Lead and develop site management teams to ensure optimal performance.
  • Providing full support to the Regional Construction Director.
Candidate Requirements
  • Proven experience in a senior construction role within the housebuilding sector with a focus on working on conversions + refurbishments.
  • Strong knowledge of UK building regulations and health & safety requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Ability to drive projects forward while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.
  • Commercial awareness with the ability to manage budgets effectively.
  • Relevant construction qualifications.
