This Opportunity

FPA is hiring a full-time Construction Inspector in Wall Township and Camden, NJ. The candidate will work in the field under the supervision of a Professional Engineer, performing construction observation, material testing, tracking quantities, preparing daily reports, and coordinating with the project team. The role involves working at various construction sites for different developments.

Core Responsibilities
  • Providing daily on-site inspection to ensure compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Monitoring workmanship and materials to meet standards.
  • Documenting construction activities, materials, equipment, and manpower daily.
  • Conducting tests on soil, concrete, and asphalt to verify material properties.
  • Reviewing construction plans against observations to ensure conformity.
  • Maintaining organized and up-to-date project files.
Required Qualifications
  • Experience in construction or inspection roles.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
  • Motivated, organized, and willing to work in the field.
  • Reliable transportation to various sites.
  • Ability to traverse construction sites.
  • ACI Grade 1 Field Technician certification or nuclear density gauge operation certification.
Preferred Qualifications
  • New Jersey DCA Certification.
  • Bachelor’s degree (or current enrollment) in Civil Engineering.
  • Associate’s degree (or current enrollment) in an engineering-related field.
  • EIT and/or NICET II certifications.
  • NJSAT Lab or Field Testing experience.
