The Role

This is a hands-on opportunity to contribute to a team that's driving meaningful change across the organisation. You'll help build resilience from the ground up - supporting continuity planning, engaging with stakeholders, and making sure we're ready for whatever comes next. It's a chance to develop your skills in a fast-evolving area, while making a real impact on how the business prepares for and responds to disruption.

What you'll be doing?

  • Support the implementation and maintenance of business continuity plans across the organisation.
  • Assist in conducting risk assessments and identifying potential threats to operations.
  • Help coordinate mitigation strategies and ensure documentation is up to date.
  • Work with key stakeholders to ensure continuity plans are clearly communicated and understood.
  • Support the scheduling and execution of regular testing and reviews of continuity plans.
  • Monitor industry developments and best practices in business continuity and compliance.
  • Maintain records and documentation to support audit and regulatory requirements.
  • Assist in delivering training and awareness sessions to ensure teams are prepared for disruption.

This role is based in Nuneaton, and may be occasionally required to travel to other locations of H&B. We support flexibility and productivity of our employees by hybrid working arrangements with minimum 2 days presence in the office.

The Person

What You'll Bring?

  • Some experience or exposure to business continuity, risk, compliance, or operational resilience.
  • Strong organisational and administrative skills with attention to detail.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively across teams and functions.
  • Self-motivated and eager to learn.
  • Familiarity with business continuity frameworks or standards is a plus.
  • Experience in retail or a fast-paced commercial environment is desirable.
