About the role

This role is a fixed term maternity cover post, which will provide administrative support to the Suffolk and North East Essex Community and School Aged Immunisation Service. The Service delivers a variety of immunisations across the area of Suffolk and North East Essex in a range of venues for all age groups.

The successful candidate will need to travel to support community clinics and school sessions across Suffolk and North East Essex, and work in the office to provide administrative support to the planning and management of school and clinic vaccination clinics. There will also be telephone queries and clinic bookings from a variety of service users.

Proposed interview date 22nd December 2025.

Responsibilities
  • Support the clinicians in the clinic setting to ensure a high-quality delivery of service to all that we see.
  • Use administrative skills and ensure work is prioritised effectively.
  • Maintain the confidentiality of service user information in line with Trust policy.
  • Liaise with external stakeholders, manage referrals, and update patient records.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills within a variety of settings to a diverse demographic.
  • Participate in the planning and scheduling of clinics, liaising with venues and managing stock levels.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Enthusiastic and highly motivated, with a desire to improve the health and wellbeing of communities by supporting the delivery of a variety of vaccinations.
  • Experience of working with a variety of ages in a health care setting is useful.
  • Excellent communication skills, both spoken and written, and the ability to establish good working relationships with a wide range of children and adults.
  • IT literate, with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office and Excel applications.
  • Strong organisational and planning skills, and a keen eye for detail.
  • Experience of working with SystmONE electronic health records would be an advantage.
  • A full valid driving licence and access to a car for regular business use is essential (unless you have a disability as defined by the Equality Act 2010).
