Job description
Commercial Partnerships Manager

Location: Sunderland

About the Role

Are you a natural connector with strong relationships across the North East business community? We are looking for someone who thrives on building networks, creating trusted introductions, and turning connections into long-term commercial partnerships.

This isn't a direct sales role, instead, you'll use your credibility and influence to introduce local businesses to an outsourced procurement solution. Many of these relationships operate like affiliate partnerships, rewarding businesses for connecting their customers with cost‑saving solutions.

You'll identify opportunities where improved purchasing power can enhance a partner's offering, helping clients save money and work more efficiently, while a dedicated team handles delivery from introduction to completion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Use your existing network to introduce local businesses to our outsourced procurement solution, either directly or through their own customer networks
  • Promote no‑cost, value‑add affiliate partnerships, helping partners unlock new revenue streams
  • Develop and maintain a trusted partner ecosystem across the North East, including venues, networking groups, professional services, and business support organisations
  • Act as a connector between businesses and the internal procurement experts
  • Attend local business events to grow your influence and uncover referral opportunities
  • Maintain ongoing communication to ensure partners feel supported, engaged, and rewarded
About You

You'll excel in this role if you:

  • Are well‑connected within the North East business community (Durham, Sunderland, Newcastle)
  • Love building relationships and making meaningful introductions
  • Can present with credibility and influence at a senior level
  • Have experience in roles such as:
    • Business networking / membership organisations
    • Corporate hospitality or events
    • Local business services / SME support
    • Account management or partnership development
  • Bring a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset
