Job summary

A leading manufacturing company in Titchfield is seeking an experienced CNC Turner to set up and operate CNC lathes for precision component manufacturing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining and be adept at reading engineering drawings and using precision measuring tools. This contract position offers a competitive pay rate of £17.51 per hour, increasing to £18.05 after 12 weeks, plus overtime pay.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner or similar role in precision machining.
• Experience in the aerospace industry is a plus.
• Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints.
• Select and set up appropriate tools and fixtures for each job.
• Perform machine setups and tool changes efficiently.
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools.

Rate:£17.51 PAYE per hour increasing to £18.05 after 12 weeks

Overtime paid at a premium of time and a half, double pay on Sunday's

Hours:07:30-16:15, Monday-Thursday, 07:30-11:30 Friday

Are you an experienced CNC Turner who wants to work for an exciting, world-leading company? We are looking for a CNC Turner who is hardworking with great attention to detail within the manufacturing industry.

Key role of a CNC Turner:

• Set up and operate CNC lathes to manufacture precision components.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to produce parts to specified tolerances.
• Select and set up appropriate tools, fixtures, and materials for each job.
• Perform machine setups and tool changes efficiently, ensuring minimal downtime.
• Measure and inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools (calipers, micrometers, gauges) to ensure they meet specifications.
• Conduct regular in-process checks to ensure components maintain dimensional accuracy.

The CNC Turner should have the following skills and experience:

• Proven experience as a CNC Turner or similar role in precision machining.
• Experienced working in Aerospace (not essential)
• Skilled in the use of precision measuring tools such as micrometers, calipers, and gauges.
• Able to follow and understand engineering drawings
• Great attention to detail
