Clinical Psychologist Horsham Salary : £43,742 - £50,056 DOE plus 5% location allowance

Kerwin Court delivers specialist neurobehavioural rehabilitation to adults with acquired brain injury. You would be working as part of a multidisciplinary team with rehabilitation support workers, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, speech and language therapists, clinical psychologists, neuropsychologists and therapy assistants. The role offers training and development opportunities and is an excellent opportunity for those interested in careers in rehabilitation or clinical roles. Set in attractive landscaped gardens, Kerwin Court has a bright, modern and spacious environment superbly equipped for neurobehavioural rehabilitation. This includes physiotherapy gyms, occupational therapy kitchens, a games room, and a large garden with allotment, amongst other amenities. There are 16 ensuite rooms, two flats and five bungalows for the people we support to increase their independence.

The Role: As a Clinical Psychologist you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide clinical psychology and neuropsychology input to service users with acquired brain injury. You will liaise with internal and external professionals, family members and service users. Main Responsibilities:

  • To provide specialist psychological / neuropsychological assessment of adults with acquired brain injury referred and related services, utilising and interpreting information from a variety of sources including psychological and neuropsychological tests, self report scales, direct and indirect structured observations and semi-structured interviews with service users, family members and others involved in the service user’s care.
  • To coordinate the people we support care as appropriate and agreed with your supervisor, in the role of keyworker.
  • To formulate and implement plans of specialist psychological and / or neuropsychological intervention to support the neurorehabilitation of adults with acquired brain injury as part of the multi / inter disciplinary team, based on current evidence-based best practice.
  • To elicit personal goals from people we support and translate this to specific, measurable, achievable, relevant timed SMART goals with the team.
  • To undertake psychological therapeutic and rehabilitation interventions, drawing on a range of psychological models and employing a range of modalities (individual, family and group) adapted and tailored to the needs of the individual and the context and ongoing evaluation of the outcomes of the intervention.

  • Doctorate in Clinical Psychology (or equivalent)
