Job description

Position Overview

This is a Long Term Temporary post starting ASAP within the Assessment and Safeguarding Service at Darlington Borough Council. The teams are locality-based, supporting children and families from referral and assessment through to either step down or permanence. Children are supported through Child In Need, Child Protection, and Looked After Child Plans. Public and Private Law proceedings are also managed within the service.

Support and Working Environment

The successful candidate will be supported by a Team Manager, have access to regular reflective supervision, and can participate in Local Authority training programs. The teams work through a relational and restorative practice model.

We are based at the Town Hall in Darlington but offer hybrid working arrangements with all remote working equipment provided (Laptop, Work Mobile Phone, and Personal Safety Device). Flexibility around working hours will be required based on your allocated caseload. TOIL will be granted for hours worked over 37 per week.
