The Joint Partnership Board (JPB) and its Reference Groups are the vehicle forpartnership working in Haringey; empowering social services clients, carers andother residents as equal partners to develop and achieve strategic borough prioritiesacross the Council and Health services. The JPB is made up of the chairs of the Reference Groups, and key officers fromthe Council and Health, with administrative support provided. The Reference Groupsrepresent the interests of specific communities, to ensure their voices are heard andtheir needs and aspirations are taken into account. Currently we have ReferenceGroups representing Autism, Carers, Dementia, Older People, Physical Disabilitiesand Carers for people with severe complex autism and learning disabilities(SCALD). We are working to re-establish a Learning Disabilities Reference group andfurther groups may be set up in the future. The Reference Groups develop their ownnetworks and agendas and provide information to the Joint Partnership Board whichenables it to prioritise its work to the key needs of the community
The contract for the administrative support for the Joint Partnership Board andReference Groups is currently managed by Public Voice which is a CommunityInterest Company ( CIC ) with a mission to improve neighbourhoods, the lives of thepeople who live in them and the public services they use. Through our work, weensure people in the community are heard and supported bringing togetherdiverse voices, including those who find themselves marginalised or are rarelyreached by service providers. https://publicvoice.london
