About the charity

At Wessex Cancer Support we understand how important it is for people who are affected by cancer to have high quality emotional and wellbeing support. That’s why we offer personalised support for people with cancer and their loved ones, that empowers them to live well with and beyond cancer.

Our services

All our services are provided free of charge; we have four drop-in cancer support centres, local outreach and online service available to people navigating cancer across the Wessex region (Hampshire, Dorset and the Isle of Wight) and we prioritise equitable cancer support for all.

Role and leadership

Our CEO will lead Wessex Cancer Support through a defining period of strategic transformation, ensuring the charity is financially resilient, operationally agile and mission driven.

Candidate profile

We are seeking an experienced, collaborative and commercially minded senior leader capable of delivering our strategy, capturing our impact and driving sustainable income generation across the charity and our retail operations. You will be a resilient, inclusive and empowering leader ready to thrive in an SME environment and position us to meet challenges head-on as the demand for our services grows.

Location and hours

This is hybrid position based circa three days per week at our Chandlers Ford Head Office & Support Centre and with travel across our sites.
