Overview

The Acquired Brain Injury (ABI) service is seeking a proactive and dynamic individual with strong communication skills to join the team as a case manager. The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with an acquired brain injury and a genuine passion for supporting their recovery and well‑being.

The role is suitable for an experienced band 6 practitioner looking to take the next step or someone already in a band 7 role who would like a new opportunity.

The post is based primarily within the Wirral team of the ABI Service, an established and successful multi‑disciplinary community‑based team covering Wirral and Cheshire.

Key Responsibilities
  • Coordinate interdisciplinary collaboration between statutory and independent provider services to address the needs of clients with acquired brain injuries living on the Wirral.
  • Take lead responsibility for the coordination and delivery of initial screening, risk assessments and evidence‑based interventions for all community patients.
  • Provide case management, vocational rehabilitation and neuropsychological interventions.
  • Deliver face‑to‑face, remote telephone and video sessions, and travel around the Wirral as required.
Qualifications and Experience

Experienced therapist or healthcare professional (Band 6–7) with proven experience working with individuals with acquired brain injury and a genuine passion for supporting their recovery and well‑being.

Additional Information

Shortlisting for this vacancy commences 2nd January 2026 and the proposed interview date is 16th January 2026. All new starters commence in post on one fixed start date each month, following the Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme which offers up to three weeks of training to meet induction and initial training requirements.
