Overview

Care Assistant, Days and Nights – Chorley, Lancashire (Astley View Care Home). Contract Type: Full-time, Permanent. Pay: £12.60 per hour + Overtime £14.10 per hour. Annual Salary: £25,225.20.

About the Role

Evermore Care is seeking experienced Care Assistants for our service at Astley View in Chorley, Lancashire. This role involves providing compassionate, high-quality care to elderly residents in a modern and innovative care environment. You will work closely with the team to ensure each resident receives personalised, thoughtful care tailored to their individual needs and preferences.

Shift Pattern

Hours: 38.5 hours per week, 8pm - 8am shifts on a two-week rolling rota.

• Week 1: Monday, Tuesday, Saturday, Sunday
• Week 2: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday

Main Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional personal care, including washing, dressing, eating, and toileting.
• Assist with light housekeeping tasks, such as dusting, vacuuming, and changing bed linens.
• Build strong rapport with residents, staff, and families while maintaining patient confidentiality.
• Collaborate seamlessly within the multidisciplinary team to ensure residents receive the highest standard of care.

Experience Required

• Previous experience working in dementia or residential care settings.
• Ability to build positive relationships with residents and the wider team.
• Strong understanding of patient confidentiality.
