Job summary

A community health service provider in Stockport is seeking a highly motivated Band 5/Band 6 CAMHS practitioner to join its dynamic team. The role involves supporting neurodevelopmental pathways and providing therapeutic input to children and families. Applicants should have a relevant health/social care qualification and experience working with young people. The position offers a salary of £31,049 to £46,580 per annum, with opportunities for professional development.

We have an opportunity for a new full timeBand 5 / Band 6 (subject to experience) CAMHS practitioner post in Stockport CAMHS. This post is open to B5 staff, with a view to developing into a B6 role following additional neurodevelopmental training / experience. Applications are also welcome from experienced B6 practitioners.This post is based within the Neurodevelopment Pathway.

One of our priorities is supporting our team with their continued professional development. As such, we offer flexibility to ensure skills and knowledge are offered and expanded in many areas of our service.

Main duties of the job
  • To support the neurodevelopmental assessment pathways, completing assessments with young people and their families and contributing to MDT discussions and decision making.o To ensure high quality CAMHS assessment of children and families referred to theservice.o To provide advice and support to families about appropriate support strategies and signpost as appropriate to relevant external agencies.o To provide access to a range of quality psychotherapeutic interventions inaccordance with individual assessed need.o To deliver therapeutic input to children and young people referred to the team.o Work as a co-therapist where appropriate with other members of the MDT.o To be responsible for and manage a defined caseload and undertake casemanagement responsibilities within the caseload.o To identify and develop strategies to manage risk to the child and others in linewith Pennine care and CAMHS procedures and protocols.o To liaise closely with a wide range of agencies regarding individual carepackages and to promote awareness of neurodevelopmental and child andadolescent mental health issues within these agencies.
