Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Enhanced Clinical Practitioner to join our specialist community Child & Adolescent Mental Health team at Poole CAMHS. We are looking for someone with passion and enthusiasm, and someone who believes that working with young people and their families is one of the most effective early interventions within mental health care.

The service is entering an exciting period of growth with new investments and initiatives underway. Initially, you may support existing teams while new structures are implemented. All positions are pan-Dorset and will involve having a temporary base during the transitional phase. Some roles may involve working flexibly within extended hours as we develop the service.

Role and responsibilities

• The ECP will have strong, demonstrable clinical experience of working therapeutically with children and young people with mental health presentations and their families.
• Work cohesively alongside the Team Leaders, Clinical Lead and Clinical Service Manager and other ECPs to provide robust clinical leadership.
• Support the team with complex cases and hold a caseload within their sphere of professional and clinical competence.
• Contribute to multi‑agency meetings by providing expert clinical input and promoting the role of CAMHS.
• Provide inspirational clinical leadership to the team and promote high quality interventions to achieve positive outcomes for young people in Dorset.
• Engage in case discussions and decisions, supervision of staff, screening referrals into the service.

Qualifications

• Registered core profession and have additional post graduate training or relevant experience.
