Job summary

A leading construction and M&E company in Belfast is seeking a Buyer (M&E) to join their successful team on a permanent full-time basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in procurement and will be responsible for sourcing materials, negotiating terms with suppliers, and maintaining relationships. Proficiency in procurement software and a full UK driving license are essential. This role offers up to £45,000 salary.

• Experience of working within a similar role – ideally M&E.
• Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Hold a full UK driving license.

This is your opportunity to join a leading construction and M&E company who due to continued success are seeking for a Buyer (M&E) to join their successful team on a permanent full-time basis.

Responsibilities

• Source and procure materials, equipment, and services specific to M&E projects
• Negotiate terms with suppliers and subcontractors
• Maintain relationships with suppliers while identifying and onboarding new ones.
• Prepare and issue POs
• Monitor and track deliveries
• Identify opportunities for cost reductions
• Resolve any issues related to delivery discrepancies, quality, or invoicing.
• Maintain accurate records of all procurement activities, including contracts, invoices, and supplier correspondence
• Other adhoc duties

About you

• Experience of working within a similar role – ideally M&E
• Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
• Hold a full UK driving license.
