Qualifications

  • ACCA or ACA qualified with a minimum of 2 years experience in accountancy practice.

Responsibilities

We are seeking a forward thinking Manager to work within our Business Services team who will bring curiosity and creativity to the role. The successful candidate will be based in our Brighton office, working on a mixed portfolio and helping to develop trainees and seniors.

This role reports directly to one of our Client Service Partners, and can include some opportunities to get involved in some business development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Managing a portfolio of growing businesses, involving reviewing various assignments and giving advice to clients where required.
  • Management of individual clients to ensure the various deadlines are achieved in a timely manner
  • Attending client meetings when required in person and via video link
  • Assisting the Client Service Director with raising fee notes and management of work-in-progress
  • Support Client Service Director and Partner in one-off project-based assignments
  • Motivate, train, and develop Trainees, Seniors and other colleagues as appropriate including some line management responsibilities
  • Potential to attend networking events and new client meetings with one of our Fee Earners.
Skills, Knowledge & Expertise
  • ACCA or ACA qualified with at least 2 years post qualification experience gained in an accountancy practice
  • A knowledge of various software packages including cloud-based packages
  • Ambitious and passionate about what you do, with strong communication and team working skills
  • Experience in developing other members of your team
  • Organised, enthusiastic, and self-motivated
  • Line management experience would be desirable
